One step forward

Finally, Fad's and my family have met for a discussion.. wohhoo!! ^_^

It was held at my aunt house, Kg Baru. 16th April 2011. Attended by Fad's parents, his elder brother + family & also his sister.. From my side, my aunt, my bro & my elder sis.. *sob sob.. My sis yang lain nak dtg.. my aunt make a rules la plak.. seriously.. sedih.. ayat yang mmg asyik diungkap adalah.. "mentang - mentang aku xde mak bapak da.. mcm ni kan jadi??" Hurmm...

So, it's totally a simple event..  The purpose of this meeting is for "kenal - kenal" or to be exact "merisik".. Yup, it is SIMPLE. My aunt do the talking.. "DO her talking.." huhuhu.. Non-stop I guess...

What ever it is.. This is our wedding.. we'll do it our way ok antie?

Serius tak dengar apa yang dibincangkan.. But then.. It is a shock when there is a 'sarung menyarung' cincin.. Apakah?? This is merisik kan? So, mana ada sarung - sarung cincin ni antie ku sayang... Guess what? She doing her thing.. her way.. her adat..  RINGKAS katanya... tak payah bazir - bazir katanya lagi...

Oh.. btw, I.. (empunya tuan badan) didnt plan to get engaged.. Coz? Coz? xmahu laaaa.... Alasan tak mahu bertunang? sebab tak mahu... >.< But then, this antie (Oh! She is my antie) really want to 'tunangkan' kami ni.. Panic sekejap OK! Dan terus tak paham sgt dengan apa yang jadi.. sebab kena sarung2 cincin?

Siap ada pengumuman.. "Hari ni antie isytiharkan (si polan) bertunang dengan (si polan)" WHAT???! terus.. (si polan) a.k.a saya.. tuan empunya badan jerit.. "Org x nak tunang - tunang ni.. Apa tunang - tunang pulak? Merisik pon kena sarung cincin ke?" Hah! Kan da jadi drama kat situ depan parents Fad..

Lucky, Fad's father said.. "Takpe.. ni kira tanda aje"... So, layankan aje laa.. IF not.. nak aje buat amuk kat situ..(konon la) hehe.. Tapi sgt la konfius time tuh.. ikut kan aje..

So, kesimpulannya.. apakah status ku ini? Hurm.. my antie ckp.. ini da kira bertunang da.. Fad is my tunang.. nak tutup mulut org dari ckp busuk katanya.. Oh~ Perlukah mcm ni buat surprise kat saya wahai antie?? Panic sampai terbuat muka excited plak ari tu.. Actually, lebih kepada muka tak faham.. hehe..

N same goes to Fad's family... Confuse! *lol... Masing - masing sekarang.. ambil konsep.. Layan kan aje & setuju je la... My Cousin ask: "Terkejut x? that is mummy idea.. dia da mmg plan mcm tuh dari dulu"..

Tak apa la.. Apa - apa pun.. I think the most important thing is THE BIG DAY.. which plan to be held end of this year.. 'Adat' is ONLY a 'adat'.. So, tak ada la upacara bertunang lagi after this.. Sekali jalan bawa hantaran masa nikah saja..

Hurm... Itu la citer yang confuse tuh.. I hope kami dipermudahkan semuanya.. Preparation sekarang a bit slow.. Going to find the best wedding package.. Oh! Kena pergi kursus dulu.. Coming soon... =D

Family Gathering

Hi..

Latest update.. Beep.. beepp.. Nothing much I guess.. It just a latest update on my family gathering. It is definitely about me.. Finally, I've got a attention here. "Hey! I want to get marry.. Can somebody help and guide me?" Hehehe.

This time.. I do the talking.. haha.. I want to make the wedding simple (simple ke?), within the budget, and also a combination wedding. Alhamdulillah, so far semua agree. Every suggestion must comes with justification..  -What and why-

Our discussion covers:-
1. Date for 'merisik'
2. Halls for reception
3. Date for Nikah
4. Reception Date
5. Makan - makan after nikah
6. Door Gift

They agree the merisik day will be on a week I'm coming back to Malaysia. Actually it is more to 'suai kenal' session je.. Opp.. Oppss.. Coming back? Haha.. bunyi mcm la jauh benar kerjanya.. hehe.. Yup~ currently, I'm in Kaohsiung, Taiwan for training. 2 weeks je pun.. =P But, it's already make my tummy turn Upside down.. coz, it is April tomorrow!!

I really hope that everything gonna be OK.. worried. -__-!

Halls

Hi.. We meet again.. ; )

I'm quite busy lately.. with my new job.. yeah~ trying hard to cope with new environment, friends & new tasks.. Definitely it feels like 'First day in School' mode.. Smiling like the cat in Alice n wonderland.. sampai ke telinga.. but kucing tu agak seram yer tuan & puan.. tapi mcm tu la lagaknya.. Senyum!

Latest progress on our wedding arrangement.. Fad dapat booking hall dekat Bangi. Yipee! But then, im still not sure yet whether my family is OK with the Hall.. Distance? more than 10km from my house.. Da risau amat da ni.. Ye la.. I don't have parents.. Adik beradik ramai.. So, nak dapat approval dari adik beradik.. memang merisaukan yer.. 

We searching for halls yang 'win-win' locations.. Fad stays at Balakong while I stay at Maluri.. so, the perfect location is Bandar Tun Razak la.. But then, bila call DBKL.. Walllahhh~ the hall is fully booked until the end of year.. kan panic sekejap tuh.. (-_-)!

So, here the Halls that we've managed to survey.. 

1. DBKL (with air-cond) - 600 - 700 pax one time, No PA system, without table and chair, Price range: RM 500 - 600 for 5 hours. 

2. Dewan Centrum, Setiawanga - 1600 pax in one time, PA system, a lot of parking spaces, comes with catering & hall decoration packages. Starting with RM45k.

3. Dewan LJT, Melawati - RM 33/ pax for minimum 1000 guests. Dewan cantik. 

4. Wisma Sejarah - 600 - 700 pax in one time. Suitable for one side reception. Affordable. RM 600 - RM 1000 for rental. 

5. Dewan UTM, Jalan Semarak - RM 3000 for rental. Comes with catering packages. 

6. Dewan Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah - 1000 pax in one time. Near Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka, KL. Dewan cantik. RM 5000 for rental. Comes with catering packages.

7. Dewan Banquet UPM - 1300 pax in one time, comes with catering packages. 

8. MAEPS, Bangi - Suitable for outdoor wedding. Affordable. Comes with catering packages. 

9. Youth International Centre, Bandar Tun Razak - 1000 pax in one time. Ada parking. RM 33/pax, comes with catering packages. 

Itu la yang sempat saya tanya - tanya serta google.. Perasan tak satu perkara? Kebanyakkan dewan memang sekali dengan pakej - pakej katering..? So, kalau nak yang murah & ada pilihan catering sendiri.. U need to plan your wedding 1 tahun sebelum tarikh untuk Dewan Komuniti DBKL.. Itu pun, selalunya.. da ada orang booking.. maybe people use to do the reception at Halls these days.. So, takde la penat nak kemas rumah sangat...

Tak kisah la buat kat mana.. Yang penting meriah & within the budget.. Coz, after majlis.. adalah saat kritikal in terms of money la.. kan?

Wedding Budget

Kalau da plan nak kahwin, da tentu la kita semua kena ada budget yang ikut kemampuan kn?

So, we are not rich.. *straight to the point* Hehe.. Oh! Definitely, we were working hard to earn & save money for the wedding.. I guess most of the couple these days.. struggling hard to save money for their 'dream wedding' rite? Byk yang kongsi - kongsi da.. for me, x de issue la wlpn kongsi.. Janji sefahaman.. = ) So far! Im proud with Fad.. Because he is really good in his financial management... So, my new azam ni!! Im goin to be good in financial too.. ; )

So, we trying to save, cut cost here and there.. Although both families haven't meet for kenal2 dan 'merisik' thing.. Fad and me decides to proceed with our 'skrip' proposal.. find the suitable location for nikah & reception.. and for the date too.. For nikah, kalau boleh nak buat kat masjid.. For reception, of course la dewan - dewan yang within our budget kn? And because Fad and me agree to have combination reception.. So, Halls with capacity of 600 - 700 seater (one time) would be perfect.. Buffet Style..

Btw, ni 'budget - budget' kasar:-

1) Halls, PA system, Table, Chair, Red Carpet - RM 2k - 4k

2) Catering - Max RM 10 - RM 12/pax

3) Door Gifts - Max RM 5/bag

4) Pelamin, Baju Nikah, Baju for Reception, Make up - RM 5k - 6k

5) Invitation Card - 50cent.. <boleh dpt x?>

6) Photographer - RM 2k <boleh dpt ke x/>

6) ..............coming soon.. mesti ada lagi ni.. apa ye?

Kalau boleh x nak la exceed RM 20k dari satu pihak.. Tapi.. Semua barang asas dah naik harga sekarang.. Definitely susah sikit nak dapat yang murah, cantik, dan berbaloi.. Ye la, most of the expenses will be on the catering part.. lagi ramai jemputan.. lagi 'ramai' la duit yang keluar... Hehe.. But, maybe we will try to cut cost on Pelamin thing and lebihkan pada catering.. So far, itu yang terfikir la..

Ok.. incik Fad, jom kita siapkan guest list ok.. By 15th Mac kita compare..

Wedding mood Intro

Hi...

So, I officially created a new blog for my wedding preparation.. It's quite late compare to others which already plan their wedding earlier.. I can say.. about a year ago..? Cool Huh? Huh! Definitely my one is sooo LATE! *nervous mode turn ON!

Ok.. Dont worry too much about the time for a while.. A bit introduction about me & Fad.. Im Alin. The owner of the blog. Fad is my beloved best friend who are goin to be my husband.. InsyaAllah.. We are planning to get marry this year.. But everything... I mean 'everything' ok guys.. Everything have not been setup yet.. Includes the 'merisik', 'tunang' and also the preparation laa.. 

Why? My parents already passed away and im the youngest one in family.. So, mmg susah la nak arrange the wedding things ni.. Im goin to get sick if im thinking too much about this.. Alhamdulillah, Fad still have their beloved parents who really concern about our wedding preparations.. Thank You makcik & pakcik.. Hehe.. 

So, we are planning to have one reception for both side.. Combine laa.. why?? Fad and me were ex colleague.. So, most of our friends are same.. So, there is no reason to spend our 100% saving for the double receptions rite? 

Ok. Ok.. The receptions thing is only a planning.. Although we try so hard to make it happen.. if GOD say NO.. That means  NO la kan? But TRY.. TRY.. and keep TRYING!!

So, first thing in mind is.. Where is the suitable location to have combine reception? Halls with air cond, parking lot and good facilities..? <Headache>

The date? Haha.. we are not fixed any yet.. It is depending to the availability of Halls.. As a guideline, we are planning to get marry in October.. or maybe November.. or maybe in December?? Unfortunately, all halls have been fully booked until the end of year! Dahsyatt kan? hehehe.. So, ada harapan untuk postponed laa.. xpun nikah dulu... hehe... 

memang pening.. But memang sekarang x nak pening2 fikir about the date dulu.. still searching for the halls.. InsyaAllah will found one.. N saya tengah pening macam mana nak temukan kedua - dua family.... Bila yang sesuai ni..
